The U.S.S. T'Pau is an Olympic-Class starship. She was the former posting of Satlek and Saph Betal.
History[]
Due to a temporal anomaly, the T'Pau appeared in 2505 and encountered the U.S.S. Enterprise.
Appearance[]
Unlike most Starfleet vessels, the Olympic-class does not have a saucer section. Instead, it has a much larger sphere section, which contains most of the research laboratories. A large section of the Engineering hull contains additional research facilities considered too dangerous to be located in the main inhabited section.
Modular sections of the ship can be replaced for specific mission profiles, including: stellar cartography, microgravity research, medical relief and combat medicine.
Capabilities[]
The Olympic-Class is not built for combat and has limited offensive capabilities - without a dedicated modular section, she has no torpedo launchers. Instead, she is designed for science and medical roles, being the favoured choice for hospital ships due to the plentiful space for passenger space and large labs easily deployed for medical purposes.
